The Four Freshman
Saturday, March 10, 2012, 7:30 pm
Tickets: $20 adults/$15 students
Only $15 with a Season Pass!
In their 62nd year of performance, The Four Freshmen continue to bring their unique brand of vocal and
instrumental harmonies to audiences worldwide. The BPAC welcomes The Four Freshman as headliners for their
popular Intermountain Jazz Festival evening concert.
The legendary Four Freshmen sound that began in 1948
continues in the 21st century with Brian Eichenberger, Curtis Calderon, Vince Johnson, and Bob Ferreira.
The Four Freshmen are not only great singers, but they are also recognized as world-class jazz instrumentalists,
as they accompany themselves on guitar, trumpet, bass, and drums, among other instrumental configurations.
Whether performing with a full symphonic orchestra, in front of a big band, or playing self-contained, their unmistakable sound
continues to thrill sold-out audiences all over the world.
The Four Freshmen were one of the top vocal groups of the 1950s,
and formed the bridge between '40s ensembles and harmony-based rock & roll bands. In 2000, the current Four Freshmen were voted
Vocal Group of the Year by Down Beat Magazine's readers.
This concert is sponsored, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts and WESTAF (Western Arts Federation).
Jazz House Big Band
Fundraiser for Wesley Johnson
Friday, March 9 * 7:00 pm
Tickets at the door: $10 adults/$7 students
When the Jazz House Big Band takes the stage for a great night of music,
one family in particular is hoping for a packed house. Doug Wareing, director of the Jazz House Big Band,
heard about the needs of the Johnson family from Rexburg and knew immediately the Jazz House Big Band
could help them.
This concert will serve as a fundraiser for the rising medical bills of 7-year-old
Wesley Johnson. It is hoped the community will support this worthwhile endeavour to help ease the
financial burden for the Johnson family.
Aimee and Cody Johnson's family certainly didn't expect to hear
a brain cancer diagnosis for their son, Wesley, on Christmas Eve last year.
Hearing the news and facing the endless medical treatments has been a roller coaster for the entire family.
Wesley was diagnosed with 2 tumors in his brain and is currently going through rounds of chemo and radiation
therapy at the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Wesley lives with his parents and 3 siblings in Rexburg. He is in the first grade and his best friends
are Cooper and Jacob. He loves shooting his BB gun, playing video games, riding his bike,
tormenting his siblings, and of course, playing with his many friends.

The Men of Worth was formed by James Keigher (Ireland) and Donnie Macdonald (Scotland) in 1986. They are an international act, and have earned much respect and success in two decades of touring.
Performing concerts, festivals, and having recorded ten albums, Men of Worth continue the very tradition from which they evolved.
